Christmas

Well I hope that you all had a very Merry Christmas. We had a great time. This was our first year doing Chritmas at our own house and it was so nice. My mom flew in the day before Christmas Eve and then she drove back with us the day after Christmas. Madie gave up her bed for my mom so her and Ethan had a great time having sleepouts in Ethan's room. Christmas Eve we had a nice dinner, then we read the Christmas story, we sang some Chirtmas songs, the kids opened their gift from Jeff and I (pajamas a Christmas tradition) and a gift or two from Grandma, then we had desert and it was time for bed. The kids were so excited they could hardly wait until morning.

Jeff and I were suprised when we looked at the clock in the morning and it was 8:00, but no kids, we got up and started getting ready and within just a few minutes the kids came running in. I went down and turned on the Christmas tree lights and then we all came down.

The kids were super excited they checked out their stockings and then we started to open the gifts. We then spent the rest of the day talking with family and checking out our new things. We then left the day after Christmas and had a great time opening more gifts with Jeff's family. The kids had fun seeing their cousins. Over the next few days we enjoyed seeing more of Jeff's famly (including extended family). On Friday Jeff went duck hunting with his dad and on Saturday Landon, my mom, and myself went and saw my little sister. I don't get up to her place very much so it was fun to see their place and to see her cute belly (she is pregnant with their first baby, due in May). It was snowy, but we had a great time. So here we are back and getting ready for the new year. Unfortunatley it doesn't look like we are rocking it in very happily. Landon is sick with a bad cold and has thrown up and Ethan has thrown up twice today too. Hopefully it is a short lived sickness and we will be healthy again soon. Hope you all had a great Christmas and I wish you all a happy new year.

What is Christmas time without the illness?
